๐ Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone ๐
As we celebrate love today, let’s take a moment to reflect on how we’re truly nurturing the relationships that matter most – including the one with ourselves!
It’s very easy to focus on the love we give others, or the love we seek from them. But what if true love is not about a source of love outside of ourselves. What if it’s possible to feel love from within. A love that can never leave us, a love that will always be with us. When the source of love is within us we can nurture it, look for ways to show more care and compassion for ourselves and perhaps even consider how we speak to ourselves.
The Wheel of Life Assessment
The Wheel of Life assessment is a fantastic tool for evaluating various aspects of our lives, from health and career to relationships and personal growth and its perfect for assessing how well we’re balancing our time and attention among all these areas.
Many people are unaware that the Wheel of Life has been in existence for many hundreds of years. Some say it has it’s roots in Buddhist Philosophy. The Wheel of Life was designed to highlight areas of imbalance in a person’s life. Being overwhelmed – unable to connect to and balance the essential areas of your life – can leave you feeling out of control and unsatisfied. A regular review of your own wheel of life can enable you to discover if it’s unbalance. This empowers you to decide what, if anything, you can change, stop, start or do differently.

Reviewing your Wheel of Life …
So on this day of love, I invite you to take a moment to consider each segment of your own Wheel of Life and consider if you are happy with the time and energy you are dedicating to your own wellbeing, your passions, your career, your relationships and your hobbies. You’ll be familiar I’m sure with the idea of putting on “your own oxygen mask on first”. In life, unless we are looking after ourselves we are not best placed to nurture those relationships with those we value the most. How you show up in your relationships will be a direct reflection on how you feel within yourself.
Self Love is about showing up for yourself …
I’m a great believer that love isn’t just about the grand gestures – it’s about showing up for ourselves and for each other, day in, day out.
